What Happens in our Workshops?
Retreats are usually attended by like-minded people so everyone tends to have things in common. It is highly likely that you will make new friends (maybe lasting a yogic lifetime)! It does not matter if you are shy as we find that people are very empathetic at our retreats and conversation flows easily and people soon become friends.
The workshops or work sessions are periods of time when we concentrate on a defined subject together as a group. Subjects may vary but are likely to include:
Meditation, Visualisation, Positive Thinking, Changing Negative Patterns, Deep Relaxation Techniques, Pranayama and Relaxing to Music.
Other therapies which also work on our energy systems may also be introduced during workshops and include reflexology, shiatsu and accupuncture.
We do prefer everyone to attend the workshops as they play an important part of the overall effect of the retreat environment.
Everyone is encouraged to contribute with their thoughts and feelings, but there is no pressure and if you do not want to talk you simply listen and absorb what is being discussed.
If the weather permits, some of the workshops may take place outdoors, such as the meditation walks, deep breathing exercises and pranayama.
